Dr. Amit Kumar is a distinguished academician, researcher, and management professional specializing in Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Food Technology, and Rural Development. He completed his B.Tech. (Food Technology) from Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHIATS), Prayagraj and earned his Master's degree in Agribusiness Management (ABM) from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand.
Since 2017, he has been serving in the Department of Agricultural Economics, contributing significantly to teaching, research, academic administration, and extension activities. He has successfully supervised 50 Master's students and has authored and co-authored more than 40 research papers in reputed national and international journals, along with book chapters, conference proceedings, technical reports, and extension publications. Dr. Kumar has actively participated in and presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, faculty development programmes, and training programmes. In recognition of his excellence in teaching and academic leadership, he has received the numerous award and several certificates of appreciation. He was also honored to serve as a Judge at a reputed Flower Garden Exhibition. His work focuses on agricultural marketing, value chain development, warehousing and logistics management, food processing, rural entrepreneurship, and sustainable agribusiness development.
