Dr. D. C. Kala

Dr. D. C. Kala has qualified ICAR-JRF, NET in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry. He joined College of Agriculture, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur and successfully completed his M.Sc. (Ag) degree as department topper. He took admission in G.B Pant University of Agricultural and Technology, Pantnagar, U.S. Nagar (Uttarakhand), for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Agriculture with major in Soil Science and minor in Agronomy and completed his research worked on “Effect of Compaction and Irrigation Schedules on Physico-Chemical Properties of a Sandy Loam Soil, Growth and Yields of Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and Their Simulation Using CERES-Wheat Model”. He also has three years of working experience as SRF in Irrigation Water Management (Soils) under ICAR –AICRP and also served as Assistant Professor, Soil Science in Hingiri Zee University. Currently he is working as Subject matter specialist- Soil Science at KVK Gwaldam, Chamoli, Uttrakhand (GBPUA&T, Pantnagar). He is also working as Nodal officer of the project “Outscaling of Natural farming through KVKs” and Co-PI of the project “Pilot project on Crop Diversification” funded by ICAR-IIFSR, Modipuram, Meerut. He has published 15 research papers, 10 popular articles, 7 Technical Abstract/extended summaries in different national and International Journals and Magazines.
