Dr. Koushik Biswas (b. 1984), is engaged as an Assistant Professor in Department of Agriculture, Brainware University, Barasat, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. He has received Doctoral Degree in Biotechnology from JJT University. He has received his B.Sc Degree in Agriculture from Visva Bharati University, Bolpur, West Bengal, India in 2006 and qualified JNU-DBT(CEEB) examination and completed his M.Sc Degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from HPAU, Palampur in 2009. After masters, he worked with esteemed research institutions like Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR), National Institute for Plant Biotechnology (ICAR), CRIJAF (ICAR) institutes wherein he honed his skills in hands-on plant Biotechnology research tools and techniques. He has also cleared ASRB-NET examination in Basic Plant Science and Agricultural Biotechnology in the year of 2010 and 2018 respectively. After completing his doctorate degree in ‘Biotechnology’, he served as an academician in Agricultural Science discipline in CT University, Punjab and SSU, Santiniketan, W.B. He was also awarded the prestigious DST-SERB Post-Doctoral Program, Government of India. He has more than 10 publications in prestigious international and national journals like Frontiers, BMC, Springer Nature and also has to his credit of one book and 6 book chapters from publishers like Springer and CRC Press. He is actively attached as an Academician to serve his experience and knowledge for the betterment of educational excellence.
