ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Kumar Yadav was born in 1969. Presently he is working as Professor, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding and Director Extension, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (India). He has over thirty three years experience in a both teaching and research in Genetics and Plant Breeding. He has made outstanding contribution in the field of Agriculture Education and Research by way of commercial release of three varieties of cereals (Wheat variety K-1317 and K-1616, Barley variety K-1055), publishing of more than 130 research papers in various International and National repute journals besides participating in many International and National conferences, supervision of nearly four dozen students (P.G. and Ph.D. Scholars) for their thesis work, actively engaged in teaching courses of U.G., P.G. and Ph.D. of Genetics and Plant Breeding and published forty Books and forty five Book chapters. Recipient of 25 awards/recognitions from various state/national and international organizations, notably, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Puraskar, ICAR, New Delhi, Utkrasht Samman- ICAR-ATARI, Kanpur, Life Time Achievement Award (UPCAR), Best Agriculture Scientist Award (UPAS), Young Scientists Award, SARC Excellence in Teaching Award, Best Author Award, Distinguish Scientists Award, Dr. Z. Ahmad Vishishth Krishi Vaigyanic Puraskar (Crop Improvement in Wheat), SRDA- Gold Medal Award, Distinguished Scientist Award at Bali, Indonesia and Book Publication Award.  He served as Dean, College of Agriculture, Lakhimpur Kheri. Additionally, he is an Nodal Officer in All India Higher Education Survey, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi. He served as Member, U.P. Council of Higher Secondary Education Council, Allahabad (now Prayagraj), U.P. He also served as Professor and Head, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding.
