Samir Ebson Topno

Dr. Samir Ebson Topno is a horticultural educator and scientist currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Horticulture at Naini Agricultural Institute, SHUATS. He has made significant contributions to the field, having published 116 research articles in NAAS-rated scientific journals and 20 popular articles. Additionally, he has organized eight training sessions focused on increasing farmers’ income through the cultivation of high-value crops. Dr. Topno has also managed two externally funded projects at both national and international levels. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he serves as a consultant for the Allahabad Organic Agriculture Cooperative. Dr. Topno received a fellowship for his Ph.D. from the International Rice Research Institute in the Philippines. His noteworthy contributions have earned him several prestigious awards, including the Indo-Asian Best Teacher Award in Vegetable Science, presented by IMRF on World Teacher’s Day, the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2nd International Conference organized by the Government of Gujarat, ICAR, BHU, and HARWS, the Scientist of the Year Award, the ICAR Sponsored Conference Award, the Literary Affair Award from IRRI in the Philippines, and the Chancellor’s Scholarship from UPLB in Los Baños, Philippines.
