Dr. Sushma Ishwar Havanur

Dr. Sushma Ishwar Havanur, PhD, is working as an Assistant Professor of Nanotechnology in the Department of Food Safety and Quality, DSLD College of Horticultural Engineering and Food Technology, University of Horticultural Sciences (UHS, Bagalkot), Devihosur-Haveri, Karnataka, India. She received her B.E. degree in Biotechnology from Bapuji Institute of Engineering & Technology, Davangere, Karnataka, M.Tech. degree in Nanoscience & Technology from Kuvempu University, Shankarghatta, Shivamogga, Karnataka and Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, Karnataka. She has published her research papers/ reviews/ book chapters/ technical articles in journals of national and international repute. She has been involved in different institutional and externally funded research projects such as CSIR, ICAR and RKVY as PI and Co-PI. She is the recipient of the Young Scientist Awardby Dr. Ram Avatar Shiksha Samiti (DRASS) in 2023. She has presented her research work at various national and international seminars and conferences. Her area of expertise includes Hydrogels/Nanogels, Drug Delivery Systems, Graphene Quantum Dots, Sensors, Polymeric Nanocomposites in food packaging, etc.
