Is engaged as Assistant Professor in Department of Vegetable Science under the Faculty of Horticulture, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur, Nadia, West Bengal, India since 2014. He has received his Doctoral Degree in Vegetable Science from BCKV and qualified ASRBNET examination in Vegetable Science Descipline. His field of expertise is vegetable breeding. As a teacher, he is actively engaged to crater the different Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral courses. He has guided eight M.Sc students so far and one is still continuing his courses under his supervision. Two Ph.D Research Scholars have submitted their Ph.D thesis under his supervision. He has published four books and one in press as author and co-author, five book chapters and 23 research papers in different reputed national and international journal. He has also published different popular articles in the Magazine. He has participated in different training programme and seminar, symposium and conference through online and offline mode. He was also a Co- Investigator, BRNS DAE sponsored project. As a Principal Investigator he has handled three private sponsored projects on biostimulants so far. Apart from his academic and research activities he served as an extension worker and resource person for different Farmers-Scientist interaction programme. Besides this, he is also a paper setter and external examiner for different universities. He acted as member of advisory committee, Nominated Teacher and Departmental nominee for several students. He was also a member of editorial board for journal. He was also a Nodal Officer and member of BCKV website committee for management of information system.
