Dr. Balaji S. Kulkarni, Professor and Head, Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, KRC College of Horticulture, Arabhavi (University of Horticultural Science, Bagalkot, Karnataka) has 18 years of experience in teaching research and extension.

As a teacher, he is handling UG, PG. and Ph.D. courses. He has guided 4 Ph.D students and 26 M.Sc., students as a Guide and 55 students as a Member of Advisory committee.

He has developed 10 technologies and has released 1 chrysanthemum variety. He has 108 research papers and 10 books to his credit, Out of them two research papers are awarded as Best Research papers in National Symposium.

He has organized 15 training programmes and 10 exhibitions. Besides this, Dr. Balaji has given more than 300 guest lecturers, 13 radio talks, and 52 TV programmes.

He has undergone 10 National levels and 1 International level training programmes. Further, received scholarship to undergo International training in Israel. He has received "Krishi Shre Prashasti by Sri Shiva Chidmbar Moolapeeth. Moola Mahakshetra Samastan, Kengeri-Murgod, ISOH Fellow By Indian Society of Ornamental Horticulture. New Delhi and CHAI Fellow from Confederation of Horticulture Association of India, New Delhi.

Presently, he is working as University Head (FLA), Vice President & Sub Editor for "The Corm Journal of Floriculture” and a Member of Expert Panel of NCERT.
