Floriculture and Landscaping is a branch of horticulture which deals with commercial cultivation, growing and marketing of flower crops and ornamental plants and beautification of surroundings. This subject is important in improving the total environment by checking the pollution apart from improving the economic status of the people involved in this profession on commercial scale. Keeping the importance of this branch, it is being taught to the students both at undergraduate and post graduate levels in horticulture / agriculture degree programmes. In many agricultural universities specialized degrees are being awarded. The information on this subject is scattered in different books and a great difficulty was being felt by the students. Therefore, an effort has been made to bring the available information from various books and class lectures in the form of a book. We hope that the book will serve the purpose and useful for the students, amateurs, farmers and others who have been involved in this profession to update their knowledge. I also thank Late, Dr. P.B. Patil, Professor and Head, Department of Pomology, KRCCH, Arabhavi who inspired me to write this book.
