Mayur Shivdas Tade is an Ph.D. research scholar under department of Fisheries Resources Management (FRM) at Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean studies, Panangad (KUFOS, Panangad) and currently working as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Kochi. He has completed his Bachelor of Fisheries from Maharashtra Animal and Fisheries Science University, Nagpur in 2017 and Masters in Department of Aquatic Environment Management (AEM) from KUFOS, Panangad in 2019. His researchfocuses on GIS, remote sensing, and programming languages to investigate and oversee marine fisheries resources and construct frameworks and models to monitor the environmental impact of mariculture activities in coastal ecosystem. His significant contributions include; Development of preliminary GIS-MCE-based decision-making framework for selecting ideal mariculture locations along Gujarat coast, India. Robust non-linear growth model simulations for a Decision-Support System (DSS) to promote sustainable and cleaner lobster mariculture production. His experience includes development and testing of mini marine Recirculatory Aquaculture Systems (RAS), growing marine finfish and shellfish in RAS and open sea cage culture system, integrating seaweed species with RAS, testing probiotic bacteria for marine finfish feed development. Marine finfish and tiger shrimp intercropping cultivation methods development. He has also been involved in transferring the technology of open-sea cage farming to tribal communities called 'Sidi' in Veraval, Gujarat, as part of an initiative by ICAR CMFRI aimed at supporting livelihoods and alleviating poverty.
