Prof. Dr (Mrs.) L. Sobita Devi is serving as the professor and Head of the Department of Plant Pathology, SHUATS, Prayagraj. She completed her B.Sc (Agriculture), M.Sc. Agriculture (Plant Pathology) and Ph.D Pant Pathology with specialisation in Nematology under Allahabad University. She has done her post doctor studies from Zhongshan university P.R. of China under bilateral programme of H.R.D ministry, Govt. of India.  Awards are the epitomes of her contribution such as “Women Agriculture Scientist Award”, “ICAR Best Teacher Award”, UGC national career award and research in the field of biopesticides and for management of plant pathogens and has guided many M. Sc and Ph.D scholars. She has published many research papers in different national and international journals and also attended number of national and international seminars, symposia, conferences, summer and winter trainings in which she was invited as guest speaker, moreover she has conducted and organised several trainings and seminars over the years. She has received nine (9) awards in which five are career awards and four are fellow awards.
