Entomology, one of the prominent branch of Agriculture, and has assumed new dimensions with respect to its different disciplines. Due to enormous breath and diversity of the subject, a number of books have been written dealing with
specific branches of Entomology. Owing to unavailability of a comprehensive book, it is a formidable task to study all specific books; saparately. This book ''Introduction to Fundamentals of Entomology'' has been written to cater the
need of such students who want to have specific knowledge of introductory entomology. To fullfil the needs of such students the book “Introduction to Fundamentals of Entomology” has been written. This is an humble attempt to guide students in understanding their subject of study in a manner that they
may face question papers boldly with full confidence. It is written in a very simple and lucid manner coupled with clear and suitable illustrations as and where necessary. It is also quite up-to-date. The book covers almost entire fields of Introductory Entomology such as external and internal morphology, physiology and taxonomy.
To complete this book, a number of text books, periodicals, bulletins, websites etc. have been consulted. We therefore, express our gratefulness to the scientists and the publishers who have generated the aforesaid scientific literatures. The photographs, which we have reproduced here, are selected
from a large collection that we have accumulated over the years from various sources. Since this is first edition of the book, hence there is every possibility to have more printing/ technical mistakes. We would, therefore, feel pleasure if
we are informed by the readers with regard to such mistakes and other limitations left over by us in the present edition.
